Christmas in California was more than what I can ask for! The weather here has been amazingly warm, and time spent with family and friends was just what I needed after a entire year in Shanghai! 2011 was a crazy year, I am so thankful for the friendships that have blossomed over the past year, and the great community of believers in Shanghai that have supported me along the way. There were so many things that could have gone terribly wrong, but didn't thanks to the grace of God, and so many things that went right, also by the grace of God. Last year has put a lot of things into perspective for me (I will spare you the details), but it has inspired me to make a new years resolution for 2012 that I intend to keep!
- Be joyful! Smile smile smile!
- Spent 2.5hrs doing my devotions (daily)
- No shopping for clothes, shoes, and handbags (this will be a tough one!)
- Workout at least 3 times a week (so tough in the dead of Shanghai winter)
Happy New Year (I know I'm a tad late but let's just say it's before chinese new year?)
ReplyDeleteI'm seriously in awe of your resolutions especially #2 (okay and maybe #3 and #4 as well). Are you reading books as well as the Bible? I recently finished a book by Joyce Meyers called 'The Battlefield of the Mind': highly recommend it as well as Kris Valloton's 'Supernatural Ways of Royalty'
Thanks for the suggestion! It will go on my suggested book list.. Right now I am reading Henri Nouwen- Life of the Beloved. I do spend a lot of time reading the Bible, books, praying, journaling, siding still & listening to Him, and listening to music ( some days, all of these things within that span of time).
DeleteSometimes I fall asleep in this 2.5 hr. period, but I try to do it for that long, specifically because I am learning to tideth 10% of my time.
Lovely picture dear!
